Bison Armory National Match service rifle upper receiver assemblies have what it takes for competition. Starting with our 1:6.5 twist 4-groove Bison Armory barrel, we recommend 69 grain Sierra MatchKing bullets for 100, 200, and 300 yard match stages. For 600 yard stages of across the course matches and mid range prone matches, we've found that 80.5 grain Berger, or 85 grain Nosler RDF bullets will help you dominate. 

Base Components: The base upper includes the following components, all of which we will assemble for you before shipping: Headspaced Stag bolt. M16 black nitride bolt carrier is standard, with chrome and match carriers available as options.

Bolt Options: This upper assembly comes standard with a Stag bolt or optional JP enhanced bolt. If you select a different bolt from the “Bolt Options”, your build will be upgraded accordingly. We check every bolt / barrel for proper headspace before they leave our shop. For more information on the bolts we stock, click HERE.

Bolt Carrier Options: If you choose to purchase a bolt carrier along with your upper, it will be assembled for you and include the gas key and firing, retaining and cam pins. For more information on the bolt carriers we stock, click HERE.

Barrel Info: Our match service rifle upper is hand crafted starting with either our Bison Armory service rifle barrel with 4-groove 1:6.5 twist and Bison Armory Match chamber, or a White Oak Match Service Rifle barrel made from a 416 stainless Shilen 4-groove Ratchet Rifled blank. The White Oak barrel features 1:7.5” twist rifling, a 5/8-24 threaded muzzle or unthreaded, either with a proper target crown. Each barrel is hand fitted to the upper receiver during assembly to ensure smooth cycling. Barrel Extension: We only use White Oak Competition barrel extensions by BAT Machine with our National Match Service Rifle barrels. These extensions are a revolution in engineering and add additional rigidity and strength where your barrel needs it most.

Forearm Info: Our National Match Service Rifle Upper comes standard with a White Oak free float tube for maximum accuracy. A YHM Diamond quad rail is available at the same price.

 

Our newest option is the new Spiker service rifle forearm designed and manufactured by Allen Spiker. This heavy duty service rifle forearm is ultra rigid with a 1/4" tube wall thickness, and weighs in a t 1lb 10oz. It also comes with a QD sling swivel that will hold up for years of match use.
